FURY'S FRUSTRATION: GYPSY KING SIGNS, AJ SHIES AWAY! WHAT'S NEXT FOR BRITISH HEAVYWEIGHT CROWN?
Tyson Fury has reportedly signed a contract for his next fight, with his wife Paris confirming the news. However, it appears Anthony Joshua has once again declined the opportunity for a highly anticipated British heavyweight clash.
Well, here we go again, eh? Another week, another heavyweight saga dominating the headlines, and once more, it's Tyson Fury at the heart of it all. The Mirror reports that the Gypsy King has put pen to paper on a contract, a deal confirmed by none other than his missus, Paris. And who's the opponent? Not the one everyone's been screaming for, that's for sure. It seems Anthony Joshua, bless his cotton socks, has once again swerved the dance. It’s a familiar tune for British boxing fans, a proper head-scratcher. We’ve seen this play out before, haven't we? The biggest fights, the ones that get the blood pumping and the pubs roaring, often seem to slip through our fingers like a greased pig. Fury, a man who's cleaned out the division, a lineal champion with a chin of granite and the heart of a lion, is ready to rumble. He's always been one to call out the best, to face all comers, a true fighting man in the mould of Lennox or Hatton. But when the dust settles, and the ink dries, it’s rarely the super-fight everyone craves. You can't help but feel for the fans, can you? We want to see the best fight the best, simple as. So, Fury's signed. Good for him. But until we get that proper tear-up against AJ, the one that defines an era, it'll always feel like something's missing from the sweet science.
