Right, let's cut through the noise, shall we? You see the lads on the telly, eyes on the prize, but what actually puts them in contention for those glittering belts? It's a proper minefield, this ranking business, with the big four – WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO – all doing their own thing. Each sanctioning body has its own committee, its own criteria, and frankly, its own quirks. It’s not always about who’s the best, more about who’s played the game right, who’s got the right promoter, or who’s been active enough to catch their eye.
